CPU RISC Seminar Summary

From Matrix, we want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who attended our most recent seminar on November 22nd and 23rd in Valencia and Barcelona.

With the collaboration of a TQ technician, our embedded systems engineer oriented a 20 people group about on how to developARM based projects with CPU RISC embedded modules through step by step demos and real case examples.

The TQMa6ULx/L and TQMa7x were some of the highlighted embedded devices, since they feature the best balance between performance and consumption. Both are based on NXP processors and combine ARM Cortex-A7 with other interfaces.

Furthermore, the atendees were able to formulate their own questions on advance, in order to discuss them during the seminar.

For those of you who could not attend or for those who just want to have a look at the summary of the seminar, you can download the white paper here (Spanish), or visualize it below:

MTX says good-bye to Smart City Expo

One more year, the Smart City global sector met in Barcelona at the Smart City Expo, which ended last November 16 after three days full of talks, activities and innovation where the presence of connectivity as a means to effectively manage all areas related to Smart Cities was an essential element.

After paticipating for several years, MTX attended to this new edition with many new products and projects.

We presented a new generation of the powerful and reliable Titan Routers. The MTX-Router-Titan II (along with its equivalent without Titan Software, MTX-GTW II) was the star of the MTX stand. Thanks to its reduced size and complete interfaces and functionalities, it was responsible for the managing of the connectivity of our miniature Smart City, the main attraction of our stand. The city demo was full of sensors that demonstrated the capacity the MTX-Router-Titan II has to control solutions like smart parking, public transportation managing, lighting with smart sensors, or managing the quality of the environment.

But there was more than hardware in our stand. Cervello Device Manager was presented as a software solution in the cloud to manage IoT and M2M devices easily through an intuitive graphic interface, right next to our Smart City demo, where users could control all the devices connected to the MTX-Router-Titan II.

Three days full of contacts, networking and a lot of Smart City, with the purpose of finding the best solutions to achieve interconected smart cities. The MTX team want to thank everyone who came to the Expo, and especially those who visited our stand.

Thanks everybody! Looking forward to see you next year!

The IoT (Internet of Things) of the future, closer thanks to Cervello Device Manager

Logo-DeviceManager-Polígonos-1

In an increasingly connected world, the future of IoT (Internet of Things) goes through the democratization of the connectivity that allows the creation of intelligent networks of devices and their control, management and monitoring from simple applications in cloud to reach of everything type of business without the need for self-development.

Having IoT connectivity in the near future can be as easy as finding the right IoT device, connecting it to the required sensors or peripherals and managing it all through Cervello Device Manager, a Software as a Service (SaaS) cloud solution to remote management and monitoring of IoT and M2M devices.

Challenges and Needs of the IoT

The main challenges and needs of the Internet of Things sector are based on two main pillars: Security and Complexity. The security of the communication, the updating of the firmware, the authentication and authorization of people and devices and the recording and monitoring of the collected data become indispensable when taking the IoT to a next level in security. In terms of complexity, the main challenges faced by most companies are the difficult management of millions of connections, the costly maintenance of the structure, the complexity of processing and storage of large volumes of data and the Difficulty to establish business rules and alerts in a simple, controlled, economic and not dependent on a development of its own.

What will Cervello Device Manager allow?

DeviceManager-Flechas

Through a simple platform in the cloud, Cervello Device Manager will make it possible to make available to all types of companies options for the control of IoT device networks: Remote Control, provisioning, authentication, registration and device inventory, data visualization and monitoring In real time, creation of business rules and alerts against the data obtained from the devices, maintenance of high availability and redundancy and the creation of logs and historical data collected. All this from a platform in Cloud available from anywhere and 24 hours a day, allowing the reduction of operating costs and greater scalability of the business.

The future of IoT, accessible to all, with many applications

All this comfort is easily applicable to any type of solution in which we need to remotely control a device, from Vending machines to energy meters, through more complex solutions of Smart Transportation or Smart Agriculture. Each company can customize the control panel according to their preferences and needs, allowing an agile management applied to the connectivity solution in which Cervello Device Manager has been installed.
