Summary IoT seminar in Valencia

In their eagerness for the expansion of new IoT technologies and connectivity, Matrix Electrónica delivered a training seminar on platforms and work in the cloud last week at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. There, a Matrix application engineer and the CEO and The Business Development Manager of IoTBlue, a company that has a long experience in the development of IoT platforms, explained the concept ot IoT, the differences between IoT and M2M, and explained the different elements that are part of an IoT solution, from the platform in the cloud, to the sensors, through the devices and connectivity protocols, firmware, etc.

During the afternoon, the second part of the seminar took place, focused on attendees who already had IoT projects. In this collaborative block dedicated to practical cases, those who wanted to could expose their real projects and look for possible IoT solutions together with our experts.

The seminar hosted about 30 attendees, who in addition to hearing about the operation of IoT management platforms, were able to share and participate with their own projects in a collaborative training environment. If you are interested but could not attend, you can download the presentation on IoT platforms in the following link (Spanish).

Stay tuned for future notifications to avoid missing the next seminars.

Seminar about IoT platforms in Valencia

On May 8th Matrix Electrónica will give a seminar on platforms in the cloud at the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia. This seminar wants to offer formation about the changing technologies related with IoT (Internet of Things), especifically with the functioning of IoT managing platforms. There will also be a practical part focusing on those attendees who want to share their projects.

10:00 – 13:30 THEORY BLOCK

First block will consist on an intensive theoretical formation about devices, firmware and other technologies dedicated to IoT, as well as an exposition of application examples and real solutions. During the seminar we will explore the concept of IoT, the differences between IoT and M2M, and we will explain the different elements that conform an IoT solution, from the cloud platform to the sensors, as well as the devices, connectivity protocols, firmware, etc. Access to the first block is free. When to use SMARC modules in your project

The continuous advance in the develpment of the processors and the subsequent new and improved interfaces condition the life and the standards regarding embeded modules. The evolution of the technology and the technical requirements of the projects, would they justify the proliferation of the develpments based on SMARC instead of other standards more established? In which cases can SMARC be the recommendable option for a project? This and other questions will be the main focus of this whitepaper (in Spanish).

IoT trends MTX seminar in Durango

Durango will be the last stop of the IoT trends MTX seminar, closing the tour on May 31st, after its editions in Valencia, Barcelona, Madrid and Seville. As its predecessors, this seminar is for all of you who have an IoT project and want to know the direction Internet of Things is heading to.

The seminar, by the MTX Product Manager and Applications Engineer, will include a talk about the present and future of 2G, 3G and 4G/LTE networks, as well as a presentation of the latest MTX products: the new modem MTX-Java-IoT, compatible with MTX-Tunnel software; MTX-Router-Titan II, the new member of the Titan family; and the Cervello, the new cloud platform for IoT applications. Also, the seminar will feature demonstrations and practical cases for IoT solutions with MTX products. The atendees will be able to ask questions at a round table.

The location of the seminar will be announced soon, and will happen on May 31st from 9:30 to 13:30h.

If you want to attend, please register on this link (Spanish), where you can also suggest topics for the seminar. Don’t miss the last opportunity to attend to our seminar!

Whitepaper MTX-Titan

Recently, our MTX seminar about IoT trends took place in Madrid The event will be replicated in Seville on May 8th, and you can still register on the link (Spanish).

As well as analysing the current IoT trends, MTX-Titan software was introduced, a firmware included in the MTX-Router devices that turns them into independent equipment able not only to read, store and send data from sensors and other devices, but also control them via, for example, AT commands.

Here you can download a whitepaper about MTX-Titan, or visualize it below:

MTX Seminar about IoT Tendencies in Seville

After having successfully celebrated our MTX seminar about IoT tendencies in Valencia, Barcelona and Madrid, we have decided to include a new edition on May 8th in Seville.

MTX-Tunnel whitepaper

Recently, our IoT trends MTX seminar took place. The event was so successful we had to expand it to two day in order to accomodate all the attendants, so it will be replicated on April 17th in Madrid. You can register on the event’s site.

As well as analysing the current IoT trends, MTX-Tunnel was introduced, a firmware that can be executed in MTX modems to turn them into powerful 2G or 3G gateways to give remote connectivity very simply to devices that only have an RS232 or RS485 serial port (such as counters, probes temperature or level …), to become complete fleet control devices or even to send to the cloud sensor monitoring (modbus registers, temperatures, digital signals, analog signals, pulse counters …).

Here you can download a whitepaper about MTX-Tunnel, or you can also visualize it below:

New MTX seminar on April 17th in Madrid

Whitepaper on RADIO Technology

A few weeks ago, Matrix Electrónica had the pleasure to participate in a seminar about the new RED standard, organized by the FEDAI at its headquarters in Valencia. Our colleague Inma was there to guide the participants to chose the most adequate technology for their IoT applications.

Everyday there are more IoT applications from very different environments, and thus with different requirements. From personal electronics to industrial machinery, the result is there is not just one standard that applies to all, but depending on the needs of each project, different communication protocols, frequency bands, standards, etc. will be applied. Due to the fast growth of the Internet of Things (IoT), when we talk about RADIO Technologies for IoT applications, there is not one-size-fits-all formula.

This whitepaper is a brief guide about some of the different RADIO technologies, that can be useful to choose the most appropriate for your application. You can see it below or download it here (Spanish).
