New commercial and technical headquarters in Taiwan for the APAC area

At Matrix Electrónica we always have an eye on the future and the international market. That is why we very enthusiastically announce the opening of a new international headquarters in Taiwan, where our partners Aaron and Tim will be in charge of commercial management and technical support for the APAC (Asia-Pacific) area, which covers the areas of Eastern Asia, Southeast Asia and Oceania. Thanks to this new opening we hope to increase the volume of business and the service provided in countries such as China, Indonesia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Thailand or Vietnam, which will be able to more easily access IoT solutions with our innovative and powerful MTX devices (routers, modems and gateways) and the Cervello IoT platform.

New modem MTX-IoT-S with 8x digital I/O and 2x ADC

The new MTX-IoT-S is a 4G (LTE), 3G and 2G modem programmable in Java and characterized by its 8 digital inputs/outputs and 2 ADCs that convert analog signal to digital (at 4-20mA). In addition, it includes other interfaces such as RS232 and RS485, relay, USB 2.0, possibility of working in Ultra Low Power mode, backup battery, etc. All this, together with the option of adding GPS or RF communications through its expansion port, make it a benchmark in its segment, both in terms of capacity and power, as well as the number and variety of interfaces. MTX-IoT-S is fully compatible with Cervello IoT Platform and with MTX-Tunnel, which makes it a powerful gateway without the need of further programming skills.

What can I do with the new MTX-IoT-S?

Sending alarms by SMS or voice call

MTX-IoT-S is able to send alarms by SMS or voice call with changes in the devices connected to any of its 8 digital inputs.

Sending telemetry up to 8 digital inputs

MTX-IoT-S can send real-time measurements from up to 8 digital inputs via MQTT to, for example, Cervello IoT platform.

Remote management of up to 8 relays or digital outputs

MTX-IoT-S allows you to remotely manage via MQTT, Telnet, SMS or voice call up to 8 relays or digital outputs.

Automatic activation of relays/digital outputs based on the Modbus registers collected

MTX-IoT-S is capable of automatically activating or deactivating up to 8 relays or digital outputs depending on the Modbus registers collected. In addition, you can automatically notify this status change to the Cervello IoT platform using MQTT.

All this examples add up to everything you can already do with MTX-IoT, MTX-Java-T and MTX-Java-T2.

MTX and MTX-StarFire, their new Gateway BMS, in Dubai for GITEX Technology Week

MTX will be present at GITEX Technology Week presenting its new line of IoT gateways for BMS (Building Management System) and with special attention to MTX-StarFire alarm connectivity devices.

GITEX, which will be held from October 6 to 10 at the Dubai World Trade Center, is the largest technology fair in the Middle East, North Africa and Southeast Asia. With more than 4800 exhibitors from 140 different countries, it is estimated that more than 100 thousand people will attend. Stop by the MTX stand in the Zabeel hall, stand Z3-D24, where our powerful industrial devices (routers, modems, gateways and custom equipment) will be available, which together with the IoT Cervello platform form an integral solution for infinite IoT applications.

 

MTX-StarFire I

The MTX-StarFire I is an innovative BMS gateway for alarm management systems (fire, smoke, gas…) with a complete set of interfaces including 8 universal analog inputs, designed to work with EOLR (End of Line Resistors). It is programmed in Java and its optimized low consumption with a LiPo battery allows it to continue working, with continuous communication with Cervello IoT Platfom, for more than 12-24 hours without any external power supply. Designed in a protective metal case.

 

MTX-StarFire II

The MTX-StarFire II, relative of the MTX-StarFire I, is also a BMS gateway for alarm management systems with more analog inputs, which can add up to 36. It also has 2x RS485 and Ethernet. Unlike the MTX-StarFire I it is programmed in Linux, and needs external power supply.

Matrix at IoT Tech Expo Europe

The European technological event of the year is approaching. The IoT Tech Expo will take place on June 19 and 20 at the RAI in Amsterdam, where the main European and international IoT technology companies will meet. Names like Siemens and Nokia will coincide to catch up with the latest developments in the Internet of Things sector.

Summary IoT seminar in Valencia

In their eagerness for the expansion of new IoT technologies and connectivity, Matrix Electrónica delivered a training seminar on platforms and work in the cloud last week at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. There, a Matrix application engineer and the CEO and The Business Development Manager of IoTBlue, a company that has a long experience in the development of IoT platforms, explained the concept ot IoT, the differences between IoT and M2M, and explained the different elements that are part of an IoT solution, from the platform in the cloud, to the sensors, through the devices and connectivity protocols, firmware, etc.

During the afternoon, the second part of the seminar took place, focused on attendees who already had IoT projects. In this collaborative block dedicated to practical cases, those who wanted to could expose their real projects and look for possible IoT solutions together with our experts.

The seminar hosted about 30 attendees, who in addition to hearing about the operation of IoT management platforms, were able to share and participate with their own projects in a collaborative training environment. Seminar about IoT platforms in Valencia

On May 8th Matrix Electrónica will give a seminar on platforms in the cloud at the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia. This seminar wants to offer formation about the changing technologies related with IoT (Internet of Things), especifically with the functioning of IoT managing platforms. There will also be a practical part focusing on those attendees who want to share their projects.

 

10:00 – 13:30 THEORY BLOCK

First block will consist on an intensive theoretical formation about devices, firmware and other technologies dedicated to IoT, as well as an exposition of application examples and real solutions. During the seminar we will explore the concept of IoT, the differences between IoT and M2M, and we will explain the different elements that conform an IoT solution, from the cloud platform to the sensors, as well as the devices, connectivity protocols, firmware, etc. Access to the first block is free. MTX at IOTHINGS 2019 in Milan

IOTHINGS, the leader IoT event in Italy, will take place in Milan on April 3-4 at MIND, Milano Innovation District, and the hot topics will be: Cybersecurity / GDPR and Data Monetization for IoT.
